Assistant in Research

Nancy Marencin is an Assistant in Research, primarily supporting Project 1 of The Learning Disabilities Translational Science Collective and The Wagner Lab. She is an ASHA Certified speech language pathologist, holds a graduate certificate in Dyslexia from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in Reading Education from Florida State University. Nancy’s research is broadly focused on language and reading development and disabilities with consideration of cultural and linguistic diversity and the unique cognitive and language processes that underly a child’s language and reading development. Her current work uses quantitative methods to understand the interaction between specific word/item demands and a child’s skills and knowledge in reading.
