Projects

The Florida Center for Reading Research was established in 2002 to conduct basic research on reading, reading growth, reading assessment, and reading instruction that will contribute to the scientific knowledge of reading and benefit students in Florida and throughout the nation.

In particular, FCRR focuses on applied research that will have an immediate impact on policy and practices related to literacy instruction in Florida. Research conducted at FCCR is supported by grants from various Federal agencies and private foundations, with current research grants at FCRR exceeding $10 million a year. In this section, you can learn more about recent and ongoing research projects undertaken by FCRR and the faculty involved in the research as well as access additional outside information about reading and reading research. Please feel free to explore the links to the left to learn more about reading research and what we do at the FCRR to improve reading instruction, intervention and assessment in Florida.
