Instructional Planning Guides |
The Instructional Planning Guides are designed to help teachers plan and document whole group
and/or teacher led small group reading instruction. A grade level guide for the sequentially
listed skills, within the five components of reading, are linked with the corresponding 2006
Florida Language Arts Sunshine State Standards. This link is noted by the grade level (e.g., K)
and a three-digit number. At times, only one of many skills will be included from a standard.
For clarification of individual skills, refer to the Components of Reading or the
Glossary of Terms. In addition to providing teachers with a tool to plan and record
instruction, the Instructional Planning Guides may be used to note ongoing instructional needs and
can be used in conjunction with the Student Progress Records.
