Kindergarten 90+ Minute Reading Block Schedule
Below is a formula that shows how the 90+ minute reading block can be divided. The 90+ minute reading block should include three elements: teacher-led skill groups, independent student centers, and whole group instruction. If you have more than 90 minutes to devote to reading instruction, additional time should first be added to the amount of time you spend with the small groups. Any remaining available time can then be allocated to whole group instruction.
