Third Grade Group 4




Group 4 is the largest instructional group. Overall, these students have achieved the mid-year Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) target and two of these students have surpassed the end of year target. In the sample reading block schedule, this group is scheduled for small group instruction two times a week, for twenty minutes each day. This schedule allows for flexibility as Group 4 will require less intensive instruction and will not need to meet on a daily basis. Small group instruction should include activities that will enhance their fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. To plan instruction for this group, use the guiding questions below.
