Outcome Measures

Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT)
The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) is part of Florida’s overall plan to increase student achievement by implementing high standards. The FCAT, administered to students in Grades 3-11, contains two basic components: criterion-referenced tests (CRT), measuring selected benchmarks in Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing from the Sunshine State Standards (SSS); and norm-referenced tests (NRT) in Reading and Mathematics, measuring individual student performance against national norms.

Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, 3rd edition (PPVT-III)
The PPVT-III is a test of receptive vocabulary that measures listening comprehension of spoken words in students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade and beyond.

Stanford Achievement Test, 10th edition, Reading Comprehension (SAT-10)
The Stanford-10 reading subtests are structured to reflect current thinking about how good readers construct meaning from text and how students are taught to read. In each text, test items are constructed to measure the skills of students in four modes of comprehension: Initial Understanding, Interpretation, Critical Analysis, and Reading Strategies.
